Privacy policy
WidgetsPro has no account, no ads and no analytics. Almost everything it reads stays on your phone. This page lists every exception.
The short version
- We don’t have accounts, ads, analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs.
- Health data from Health Connect is read on your phone, drawn on your home screen, and never sent anywhere.
- Calendar events, screen time, notes, photos and your own quotes never leave your phone.
- Two things do go over the internet: your location (rounded) to a weather service, and, for quote packs, a download request to our server.
- We don’t sell or share data for advertising. We never will.
What leaves your phone
Weather: your location, to Open-Meteo
If you add a widget that shows weather or the sun and moon for where you are (Weather, Weather details, Sun and moon, At a glance), WidgetsPro sends your coordinates to Open-Meteo, a weather service, to get the forecast and air quality. The coordinates are rounded to four decimal places (about 11 metres) before they are sent. Nothing else goes with them: no name, no ID, no account. We don’t store your location on any server.
WidgetsPro asks for approximate location for weather. If you also grant precise location (only asked for if you want the Wi-Fi toggle to show your network’s name), the position used for weather can be more exact before rounding. Open-Meteo’s handling of requests is described in its terms and privacy notice. Open-Meteo receives your IP address, as any website does.
To show a place name, the app asks Android’s built-in geocoder to turn the coordinates into a name. On most phones that is a system service provided by your phone’s maker or Google, not by WidgetsPro.
Quote packs: a download request to our server
The Quote widget can show downloadable packs (Qur’an, Bible, Torah, Dhammapada, Stoics, Poetry). They are fetched in the background, about once a week and when you first pick a pack, from a small server we run on Cloudflare Workers.
- The list of packs is fetched with no identifier at all.
- If the app is set up with RevenueCat (a service that checks in-app purchases), downloading a pack sends an anonymous RevenueCat user ID, a random string not linked to your name, email or Google account. Our server passes that ID to RevenueCat to check whether this install can open the pack, and briefly caches the answer.
- The random ID the app uses to pick which quotes to download is never sent.
Cloudflare, which runs our server, may log request metadata such as your IP address, the time, the address requested and request headers, for security and debugging. We use those logs only to keep the server working and don’t combine them with anything else. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If RevenueCat is used, it keeps an anonymous customer record for that ID. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
What stays on your phone
Each permission is asked for by the widget that needs it, when you add it. You can say no and use everything else.
- Health (Health Connect, read only)
- Steps, distance, calories, exercise and planned exercise, heart rate, resting heart rate and sleep, for the Steps, Activity, Sleep, Heart and Workouts widgets. See Health Connect below.
- Calendar
- Your events, for the Calendar, Date and At a glance widgets.
- Usage access
- Today’s screen time, top apps and unlocks, for the Screen time widget.
- Notification access
- What’s playing, with play and pause, for Now playing. The app keeps only a count of notifications, never what they say.
- Nearby devices
- Battery levels of connected earbuds and watches.
- Photos
- Photos you pick with Android’s photo picker, for Photo frame. Nothing is uploaded.
- Notes and your quotes
- Stored as files in the app’s private storage.
- Installed apps
- The apps you choose for App folder.
- System settings
- Do not disturb access and Modify system settings are used only to flip those toggles.
- Notifications
- Only for the optional Live updates, if you turn them on.
Health Connect
WidgetsPro reads the following from Health Connect, only after you grant each permission: steps, distance, active and total calories burned, exercise sessions, planned exercise, heart rate, resting heart rate and sleep. It can read them in the background so your widgets stay current. It never writes to Health Connect.
How we use it. Health data is used only to draw the Steps, Activity, Sleep, Heart and Workouts widgets on your home screen, and in the app’s previews of them. It is processed on your phone and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
We don’t transfer or sell it. We don’t sell health data, don’t transfer it to third parties, don’t use it for advertising, and don’t use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending. No human reads it.
Limited use. The use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can withdraw access at any time in Health Connect’s settings, or in Android’s settings under WidgetsPro’s permissions.
What we don’t do
- No account or sign-in.
- No ads, and no advertising ID.
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs.
- No selling or renting of any data.
Security
Everything the app sends goes over HTTPS. Data on your phone is kept in WidgetsPro’s private app storage, which other apps can’t read.
Keeping and deleting your data
Everything WidgetsPro keeps is on your phone. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it deletes all of it: settings, notes, your quotes, downloaded packs and cached weather.
We don’t hold data about you on our own server. If you want us to ask RevenueCat to delete the anonymous record for your install, or have any other request, email aliuabdulmujib@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
Children
WidgetsPro isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
